Wisair’s Wireless USB Solution First to Obtain Korean Regulatory Certification
Single-Chip Solution Enables Worldwide Deployment with Single SKU Model
CAMPBELL, Calif., May 6, 2008 – Wisair, a leading provider of single-chip based Ultra Wideband (UWB) and Wireless USB solutions, today announced its Wireless USB solution was approved for distribution in Korea by the Radio Research Laboratory (RRL), the certification body under the Korean Ministry of Information and Communication (MIC). Together with regulatory approvals already received in the U.S., Japan and Europe, Wisair’s WSR601 chip now enables Wireless USB worldwide deployments with a single SKU (stock-keeping unit) model.

The Wisair solution approved for operation in Korea includes a Wireless USB adapter, and is based on the Wisair WSR601 CMOS single chip. Wisair’s WSR601 technology is currently in production with several ODM partners with shipments to end consumers expected towards the end of this quarter.
